Amelia Vargas

Amelia was born in New Jersey then raised in Pennsylvania, until she was in the second grade, when her family moved to Southern California so she could pursue her acting dreams. Just kidding LOL! They moved 3000 miles for her dad’s job, not for her. And nobody even knew she wanted to be an actor; Amelia had never mentioned it because (with her eight-year-old brain) she figured you could only act in the Big Apple or Hollywood, so what was the point? With this secret desire in mind, Amelia wasn’t too mad about moving across the country. Shortly after settling in California, she made a couple friends who took acting classes and she convinced her parents to sign her up too. 

From there, Amelia’s love for acting grew. Throughout middle and high school, she participated in local theatre productions. Growing up a a shy kid, her peers were often shocked upon learning she was an actor. It made her feel like an undercover spy. As an adult, she’s happy to say she’s a little less undercover. Who would have thought pretending to be other people would help her become more grounded and confident in herself? Amelia is a Gemini after all, so she thrives when expressing her versatility.

Amelia received her Bachelor of Arts in Theatre/Acting from University of Southern California’s School of Dramatic Arts in 2021. When she’s not acting, she loves to read, play video games, hike, sew, and pester her roommate’s cat, Leia.
